It's a fun job, and I gotta do it

I'v been working as a marketing consultant for a big electronics business for a month with one more month to go on the assignment. I've been experiencing commuting again... This time not by car, but wit bus, subway and train. Yep, all of them in one journey. It takes me 1.5 hour, one way, if all changes are timed perfectly. This is no way to live! Like being a lemming. And I knew it would be when I took it on. But the job is a fun addition, a variation which was a part of my plan with Bear Bell Productions. I wanted to fill my days with new and exciting and challenging experiences. Get rid of the safe, comfortable and known. At least as a constant. So pattern design and illustration has had to be on hold a bit. Despite that a lot of things has happened anyway, and there are more and bigger plans in the making. Exciting things that I will talk about later on.

One plan I can share now is a small project that is well on it's way. My first real patterned product - shams, or pillow cases actually. Last weekend I spent cutting almost 120 pieces of fabric that will be sewn into pillow cases in three different sizes. The fabric is soft velvet with a wonderful lustre. The front of the pillow case is printed with Adrian Paisley and the back is a solid sand color.

When everything is ready, all fabric cut, zippers and labels are delivered it will be sent to Falkenberg to be assembled. And then I will have a stock of 60 pillow cases that can be bought from the Bear Bell shop.
